…my Dad is an avid fisherman, and I spent many a Friday night at Capaha Park as a child fishin with Pops. Now my son is becoming quite the fisherman himself. At Hidden Valley they have a children’s fishing tournament every Memorial Day Weekend. My little sister won it several years as a tot and now my son has become the big champ…in his age group of course! He had a little guidance from Papa(he had to cast the line) but he reeled them all in himself and took them to the judges to be measured and signed off on. In all honestly we didn’t htink we won anything this year and when they were announcing the winners the kids on each side of him won second and third. My heart kinda dropped for him at the thought of him not winning anything…and then it happened…1st place for most fish caught Lukas Huesgen!!!!! He also placed second for biggest fish caught!!! We were so proud of him and you could tell he was so proud of himself as well! Here are some pics to commemorate the event. Congrats my favorite little guy!!!
Here is the fish he wond 2nd place for in the Biggest Fish category

up on the stage getting his two trophies…

Little sis cheering him on (far left)

and this is what Stella spent the day doing…kissing worms…doesn’t she know your supposed to kiss frogs….not worms…

Thank you to all the military personel who have made sacrifices for our freedom!! Happy Memorial Day!!

How stinkin’ cute is that of her kissing the worms. She know they have feelings too.
