Went to a new location of mine last night to test it out.  There were chickens, and ducks, and turkeys, and cats everywhere.  With normal kids this would have been just fine but Stella has no fear.  She was chasing the turkey around trying to pick it up, doing the same with the roosters too and we all know how rooster can get…needless to say my heart stopped beating a few times.  I think back on my childhood and I rooted around on farms constantly.  Picking up stray cats, playing with insects rolling around in the tall grass…but now as a nuerotic parent I think…ringworm, poisonous spiders, and ticks…None of those things ever happened to me, so why am I so paranoid???  Well take a look at these pics and perhaps you can catch a glimpse of why I love my kids sooo much!! Oh and Denise….you friend neglecter you, you better feel cool she is wearing one of your fabulous MJC dresses.  Just kidding, I know you’ve been on Beast duty in Disneyland…

…my Dad is an avid fisherman, and I spent many a Friday night at Capaha Park as a child fishin with Pops.  Now my son is becoming quite the fisherman himself.  At Hidden Valley they have a children’s fishing tournament every Memorial Day Weekend.  My little sister won it several years as a tot and now my son has become the big champ…in his age group of course! He had a little guidance from Papa(he had to cast the line) but he reeled them all in himself and took them to the judges to be measured and signed off on.  In all honestly we didn’t htink we won anything this year and when they were announcing the winners the kids on each side of him won second and third.  My heart kinda dropped for him at the thought of him not winning anything…and then it happened…1st place for most fish caught Lukas Huesgen!!!!!  He also placed second for biggest fish caught!!!  We were so proud of him and you could tell he was so proud of himself as well!  Here are some pics to commemorate the event.  Congrats my favorite little guy!!!

Here is the fish he wond 2nd place for in the Biggest Fish category

up on the stage getting his two trophies…

Little sis cheering him on (far left)

and this is what Stella spent the day doing…kissing worms…doesn’t she know your supposed to kiss frogs….not worms…

Thank you to all the military personel who have made sacrifices for our freedom!!  Happy Memorial Day!!

…Just like my favorite movie Great Expectations.  Everyone in that movie wore a shade of green at all times…except for the end.  So did Darcy…these kids were so much fun.  They were not turned away by the grass that was taller than they were or the ticks we found on our clothes after the session.  My kinda kids.  Anywho the boys did fabulously well but Miss Darcy was just enchanting.  She had her own sense of style and her unique elegance came through in her images.  Anyway, I took a peek at them and had to come over and share a few..

I love this in BW too…

Aren’t the boys such cuties too!

Gwen…I have been friends with her parents for years.  Her father used to be particularly mean to me.  I had red hair and he called me fireant in high school…Yes, Matt I will never let you forget it…Angie, kick his butt…Anywho, they just added a new beautiful baby girl to the family.  I know big brother will get used to having her around and make things much easier on you both.  I just love this shot…

And I would also like to introduce two other beautiful little girls…Sofia and Ella.  They are so little and reminded me so much I my little bean sprouts when they were born.  This shot is so perfect.  Just like they were 2 weeks ago….

Don’t forget moms and dads, I can also do birth announcements.  Let me know if you are interested in any…

…that’s my girl.  My frontyard has turned into the neighborhood hangout.  All the older kids think Lukas and Stella are the coolest things since corndogs.  They come over everyday after school and play in the front yard with my little tots.  Honestly the boys think Luke is cool because he is 4 and is a baseball prodigy. Seriously, I said this before but he really amazes me.  He swings the bat(and hits it) like high school kid.  Did I mention he is a runt??  He weighs like 33 pounds, but he is tall.  He has that going for him.  Now this post was originally about Stella but Luke hijacked it again….

As I was saying…the kids were playing in the dirt yesterday and I got out the bubbles…big mistake…Stella made bubbling mud pies in record time…she seriously looked like one of the Boxcar children.  I had to take a pic…and yes, she is in her diaper, in my front yard…we are hoosiers…but we clean up well!
